DIGISOL Systems announced the launch of its new drawer type LIU under its structured wiring system (passive) series. The DIGISOL 24/48 port configurable optical fiber LIU drawer type is a 1U rack-mounted unit for storing and terminating incoming optical cables. The management ring in the system can accommodate the excess optical fiber cables behind the adapter and maintain the optical fiber bend radius.

LIU (Optical Interface Unit) or fiber optic patch panels are used to manage, organize and protect fiber optic cable assemblies. It has two types: wall-mounted and rack-mounted, depending on the infrastructure requirements. From 6 cores to 96 cores, these LIUs can adapt to a variety of different cable types and installation sizes. The LIU, which is most widely installed on the rack, is the first choice of designers and installers.

The splicing tray in the panel can fix the fiber core after the splicing process and avoid damage during the handling process. It also provides flexibility for pigtail and patch cord interconnection when performing MAC (move, add or change).

DIGISOL provides a "drawer" LIU, where the adapter panel is integrated with the LIU main frame. General configuration loading LIU requires three or four line items BoM, of which DIGISOL LIU will only configure two. This reduces the confusion in all phases from the planning of the fiber optic terminal to the test. The cold-rolled steel as the raw material is composed of a top cover and a bottom plate, and can provide a standard 19-inch rack installation height of 1U.
