Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has instructed cable operators, Internet service providers and affiliates to remove unauthorized cables within one month.

This was done in accordance with the instructions of the Karnataka High Court from August 3 to 24. The court has instructed cable television operators, Internet service providers, and other affiliated companies within the scope of BBMP to remove suspended telephone poles, trees, and sidewalks.

Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta stated that unauthorized cables that have not been cleared after the 1-month deadline will be removed without notice, and that such unauthorized cables will be removed. The owner/association takes appropriate legal action.
