Concord, New Hampshire — President Joe Biden publicized the newly signed $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Employment Act in New Hampshire on Tuesday, as well as the $2 billion that the bill will spend in Granite State over the next three years.

The President gave a brief speech at the Pemigewasset River Bridge in Woodstock, which was previously on the red list for maintenance. The entire federal delegation attended the event-U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and U.S. Representatives Ann McLane Kuster (D-NH) and Chris Pappas (D-NH) ), everyone voted for these proposals. According to Shaheen, the delegation flew on Air Force One from Washington, DC, together with Biden.

Shaheen said that the president chose the state as his first stop because it was "a great victory for the people of Granite State." She said these investments are beneficial to working families, which is why she helped lead the negotiations, "to ensure that it can meet the urgent infrastructure needs of small states and rural areas such as New Hampshire."

Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) greeted the President at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and welcomed him back to the state. The governor said the two briefly talked about investing wisely in infrastructure funds, as well as inflation and labor shortages. Sununu called the conversation "very pleasant."

During the event, the delegation announced that the city of Manchester will receive a $25 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to rebuild the U.S. infrastructure in a sustainable and equitable way to revitalize the city’s South Miryard area.

One of Hassan’s guests is Nicholas Coates, the mayor of Bristol, who has been committed to bringing high-speed internet and business investment to the community.

We all received them-endless robot calls and extended warranty sales promotion, and other things from real numbers in the 603 area code.

Now, officials are starting to do something about it.

New Hampshire’s Attorney General John Fomela and 50 other state attorneys general and the District of Columbia AG wrote a letter to the FCC calling for action against robot callers who often deceive people. This year, the telephone company was required to implement a new caller ID authentication technology to deal with scammers and deceivers. Since then, call volume has dropped by about 30%. But the scammers, as always, found a way to bypass the system-buy a real number.

"Illegal robot calls are one of the most important and persistent threats to consumers in New Hampshire," Fomela said. "In recent years, the state attorney general has made significant progress in eliminating illegal robot calls. We urge the FCC to take steps to close the way scammers can evade caller protection."

According to the company, Spirit Airlines has added two direct flights from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to Florida Airport.

There will be four flights a week to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, and the airline will add three additional flights to Tampa International Airport each week.

"It's great to see Spirit expand from MHT to two other destinations in Florida," said Airport Director Ted Kitchens. "These flights also arrived before the busy holiday travel season, because many people will not be able to visit relatives a year later."

In April 2022, the Spirit will start flying from Manchester to Myrtle Beach, Florida.
