Another large donation to support Community Living Wallaceburg to make the multi-sensory room easier to use.

The agency launched a fundraising campaign last month to refurbish the Snoezelen Room and update the equipment to make it available to the entire community, not just the customers of community life.

To commemorate the donation made on Tuesday this week, an anonymous donor has donated $3,000 to the cause. This brings the total funds raised so far to $5,000.

“Since the Snoezelen Room renovation was first announced, the enthusiasm and generosity of our community has been amazing, and we are grateful for that as we approach the donation season,” said Executive Director Deborah Hook. "The updated space will not only provide more opportunities for people supported by the IAEA; the renewal of the multi-sensory space and planned community expansion will allow more people from the community to benefit from this unique resource."

The organization hopes to raise $50,000 to fund the renovation project, which will include cutting-edge and fascinating sensory products, including Galaxy carpets, fiber optic shells, teardrop beanbag chairs, interactive fragrance panels, and swing seat sensory pads.

The funds raised will also help expand the sustainability of operating costs, training and space.
